fail to do和fail doing的區(qū)別是什么

fail to do既可以表示沒有做某事；也可以表示做了，但失敗了。fail in doing表示做了，但失敗了，而且是中途失敗。fail to do表示還沒做某事，不能做某事。

在某些方面失敗/不足；考試不及格（強調這件事已經做過了，結果是失敗的）

He has been failing in health for the last two years.

近兩年來，他的健康狀況一直在衰退。

（很少用doing，一般后接名詞。大部分做考試不及格的意思。）

比如，當你表達一個同學沒有完成作業(yè)時，可以說she failed in doing his homework.(意思是她的作業(yè)沒做完)，但不能說she fail to do his homework。
